Abraham and Sarai were surrounded by peoples and nations that worshipped “the gods”. When God brought Israel out of Egypt at the hand of Moses and Aaron into the land of Canaan, Pharoah and all of Egypt worshipped Hathor who was thought to be a mother goddess in the form of a cow. Egyptian religion believed cows to be sacred. On the trip out of Egypt Moses made camp at the base of mount Sinai and went to the top of the mountain to have an audience with God. When he did not come back in a few days, the Israelites in their tribes camped at the foot of the mountain decided Moses was not coming back. In his absence Israel chose to revert back to the Egyptian ways and made a “golden calf”. They began to have sex orgies in worship of the “golden calf”. When Moses returned from the top of the mountain, he had been in the presence of GOD. His face radiated light. He had received the 10 commandments written by the hand of GOD on 2 stone tablets. Israel was worshipping the god Hathor a god in Egypt. This is particularly interesting because just a little while before when God was freeing Israel from bondage to Pharoah in Egypt the mystic priests of Hathor were not able to save the first born sons of Egypt from the death angel on the night of the first Passover. The magicians were able to perform tricks that appeared to mimic or model or be the same as the other 9 plagues pronounced by God and delivered by the hand of GOD on Egypt through Moses and Aaron the high priest in an attempt to get Pharoah to let the people of Israel go so they could worship the true Creator God. No mystic or priest to Hathor the cow could raise the first born of Egypt from the dead imposed by the death angel. No mystical priest could kill the first born sons in Israel.
The GOD of Abraham Isaac and Jacob lead Israel out of Egypt by his mighty right arm to the land of Canaan where the people worshipped “gods” and “idols”. These “gods” are often depicted by wood or stone. Baal, Asherah, and Molech are pertinent to this study. Baal or Balaam or Baalak is the cosmic bull. Molech is also in the form of a bull from the waist up and human form from the waist down that stands upright like a man and walks on two human feet. Mithra is a bull like creature that stands upright like an man that walks on two cloven hooves. Mithra opposed the early believers after the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth and he opposes the true sons in our time. The people of Canaan sacrificed their children to Molech by burning them in fire. The Ashera are female demon beings. Ashera is thought to be the counterpart to Baal. She is depicted and worshipped in Ashera poles. Ashera poles were wooden statues similar to the totem poles in American Indian history. The Ashera poles were easy to recognize as female. God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob that brought them out of the land of Egypt and met Moses at Mount Sinai to deliver the 10 commandments commanded Joshua to chop down all the Ashera poles in Isreal. Isreal never got that done. The poles were occasionally removed in one place or another only to be raised up again in another location. That was a grave mistake on the part of Israel. Those poles were more than just symbols of statues in wood. They were the source of power for the demons in time space including Ashera. The fact Israel never cleaned the poles out of their lands made it possible for those female demons to continue deceiving the Sons of God for the next 6000 years. Until the day Jesus showed up in my tiny studio apartment and said, “Do you want to go have some fun?” The Ashera poles and the power base for the gods and goddesses and demonic entities ended for all time when the last pole was smashed. The wiccans. The occult among us in service to Satan lost their foundation for the spells and curses. All those captured by their spells and curses were released and freed and received into the awaiting Arms and the bosom of Abraham. Do not get me wrong. We still have to be on the alert for them especially now at the end of the age when time grows short.
